Opportunity - Don't Make This Mistake

There is a lie about "opportunity"
that most people have CONVINCED
themselves to be true.

They've done this, probably because
it gives them more hope, or justifies
their procrastination, or "lets them off
the hook" from taking action...

...But none the less, in the end it
could cost them more dearly than
they will ever know.

Here's why...

"You Do Not Have Unlimited Opportunities
In Your Lifetime... In Fact, You Have Far
Less Than You'd Probably Care To Believe".

Most people seriously live their life, as
if they are not one day going to DIE.

They are constantly thinking... I'll do it
"later". I'll get to it later, I'll take care of
it later, there's always "tomorrow".

And this is one of the biggest lies the
human mind tells itself.

The fact of the matter is, there's a
decent possibility tomorrow never
comes.

And what's GUARANTEED... is that
tomorrow will come faster than you
could imagine. Reflect on your own
life and how fast it's going by and
you'll already find this true.

The unfortunate thing is... most people
"Put Off" changing their lives, or taking
action, until "tomorrow".

Then tomorrow comes, and nothing is
different. Nothing has changed. It's
possible YEARS go by living like this...

...And the sad truth is most people
NEVER make the change.

Most people "put off" really making a
change in their lives so often, thinking
they'll have unlimited opportunities to
do so, that their life passes by and
they never accomplish all they wanted to.

That to me is a WASTE of human
potential. And I want to WARN YOU
of this tricky part of your mind that
will deceive you into thinking you
have "Forever" to create your success.

The truth is, you DON'T.

The truth is, if you don't get started
doing it NOW, then you are increasing
the chances every single day that goes
by that you NEVER will.

That's the truth.

And the truth be told... the time IS
now for you to make this happen.

It's not "Later". It's not "Tomorrow".
It's not "next week", it's not "After
something else happens". It's NOW.

There will never be a better time
for you to develop the skill sets,
learn the knowledge, and practice
the ACTION steps that can lead
to you creating a life of freedom in
this industry, than NOW.

Does your network marketing company make you successful?

Good question.

Many new distributors in MLM think that choosing a different MLM company will make them successful. These MLM distributors think that success is "outside" of them, and that the external factors will make the difference.

But success in network marketing is an "inside job." You have to learn some skills. And if you don't have skills, changing MLM companies just means that you'll be unsuccessful in a different company. If you can't recruit now, changing companies won't fix that.

In every network marketing company there are some successful distributors, and some unsuccessful distributors. So it is not the company that makes the difference.

Learn how to prospect, learn how to sponsor, learn how to build ... that makes the difference. Then you can be successful anywhere you choose :)

Don't Sell Features, Don't Sell Benefits

Instead, base your sales presentation on your prospect's most pressing problem. Then you'll have your prospect's attention.

For example, if you talk about the weekly bonus checks, that's a feature.

If you talk about the benefits of weekly checks (not waiting until the end of the month, getting your earnings quicker, instant gratification for work performed, etc.) - you're doing better, but it still won't rivet your prospect's attention.

Try talking about your prospect's most pressing problem. For example, you might say:

"Next Tuesday your mortgage payment is due. That could eat up most of your paycheck. Wouldn't it be nice to get a check from our company that would pay the mortgage payment for you? Then you'd have your entire paycheck to do what you want."

See the difference?

Your prospect is constantly thinking about his problems - not your benefits.

Let The System Do The Grunt Work

Remember when you first heard, "Sales is a numbers game." Somebody said that to you because you had called 25 people with absolutely no success. What they meant was, "Keep on swinging. Eventually you'll hit one." Unfortunately, they did not have your best interest in mind. They wanted to keep you around a few more weeks before you gave up and they had to train another unknowing suspect.

With this thinking, if you want to make one sale, you've got to make 100 calls. Two sales, 200 calls. The problem with that is if you want to make 10 sales, you've got to make 1000 calls. Who has time to make that many calls? Can you see how this approach can limit you?

I believe in working smarter, not harder. Instead of grunt work, which is what cold prospecting is, wouldn't you rather spend your time talking with qualified prospects that need you and want you to call them?

Why on earth would you willingly spend your time searching under rocks for those people, and then begging them for a few minutes on the phone?

Would you rather be able to follow up with a prospect who has already contacted you and get most of them to spend time with you on the phone?

If you are tired of playing the numbers game and are ready to travel a road less traveled, then this FREE E-book will show you the path.

I am shy. How can I change and learn how to overcome my fear of talking to people or selling to strangers?

By : Tom "Big Al" Schreiter - FortuneNow.com

Do you ever notice that the successful network marketers have a positive personality type?

Does the positive attitude come from them being already successful?

Or, maybe these successful network marketers had the positive attitude first -- and that positive attitude propelled them to success?

You be the judge.

While it is easy to have a great attitude when you are already successful, usually the positive attitude comes first and demonstrates itself by attracting success.

How can people overcome their fear of contacting prospects?

It's a matter of desire. People usually get what they want most.

For instance, there is a choice between a good television show and attending an opportunity meeting. Some people will want to see the television show more than they want the success that comes from attending opportunity meetings with guests.

So, they watch television because they truly want that more than the long drive to hear a boring speaker at the meeting.

The same holds true when talking to people. What does a person want more?

Does this person want the calm, non-threatening day-to-day life void of rejection?

Or, does this person want prospecting success more than he desires to avoid rejection?

Sobering, isn't it? Many people say they want success, but deep down they want activities that pose a lesser challenge.

Dependence Versus Independence

When we build our networking businesses, we strive for duplication.
We want to duplicate strong independent leaders who can pass on skills by using a proven duplicatable system. We can do it right and duplicate independence, or we can do it wrong and duplicate dependence.
Let’s see what happens when we promote the wrong thing - dependence …
Alice sponsors Bill and teaches him1. A website2. A conference call number3. An email address4. How to set goals
Now Bill makes a point of learning the website and the conference call and the email address but thinks that setting goals is a silly waste of time for New Agers and just gets down to work.
When Bill sponsors Carol, he teaches her1. The website2. The conference call number3. The email address
Carol likes the website and the conference call and uses them a lot, but doesn’t use the email address very much and who needs it anyway when you can just phone?
When Carol sponsors Dave, she teaches him1. The website2. The conference call number
Dave loves the website but doesn’t have a good long distance plan yet so he doesn’t use the conference calls.
When Dave sponsors Ellen he shows her1. The website
Now here is where it gets stupid …
Ellen realizes she needs an email address and calls her sponsor Dave - five minutes. Dave calls Carol for the address but Carol doesn’t have it because she didn’t need it - five minutes. Carol calls Bill for the missing address and Bill repeats it to Carol - five minutes. Carol calls Dave and gives him the address - five minutes. Dave calls Ellen and gives her the missing email address - five minutes.
Total of 25 minutes minimum of wasted time that this team could have used to build their businesses. This does not even include the time that Ellen wastes standing around on one foot waiting for Dave to get back to her, or the time Dave wastes waiting for Carol, or the time that Carol waits for Bill to get back to her. Could be hours.
Throw in the time spent discussing the weather and complaining about the government and kids and spouses, and it could be DAYS!!
Now imagine the time wasted for all when Ellen sponsors Fred, and Fred decides he’d like to set some goals. Fred calls Ellen who calls Dave who calls Carol who calls Bill who calls Alice who reminds him how to set goals so Bill can call Carol who calls Dave who calls Ellen who calls Fred. At least an hour or three here, not counting waiting time and meteorological musings. More hours wasted for all.
Wouldn’t it be better if we promoted independence?
Imagine if everyone had a duplicatable system to which they could refer before going to their sponsor or upline to answer questions already answered elsewhere.
Imagine the thousands of hours that could be saved if each distributor were truly “independent”.
Imagine the strength of your team if everyone took to heart Tom Big Al Schreiter’s question,
What is it you’d like me to do for you that you are unwilling to do for yourself?
Next time you find yourself complaining about what your team is doing or not doing, ask yourself a couple of questions:
Am I doing what I would like to see my downline doing?
Am I working on becoming the kind of person I would like to sponsor and work with?
We believe that whatever you do, you can expect to see duplicated in your downline. If you are dependent, expect a lot of questions that waste your time. If you are independent and teach that to your team, you can expect to spend a lot more of your hours in productive, business building activity.
Teach duplicatable independence, not dependence on others.
Use and develop systems that help people to save time, not waste it.
